With a week off Old Elizabethan 1st XV shake themselves off after a very close defeat to Dings at Shaftesbury Park.
Instead, attention turns to Frampton Cotterell this weekend at the mighty Fortress, this will be a test for Old Elizabethans as Frampton look to be a decent outfit as the results suggest.
There has been a few changes from the team sheet from the ding's game, in the front-row Greg Foord and James Brooke come in. Foord who has been on flying form for the Thundercats looks to impress as he returns to 1st XV rugby, and Brooke is sure to stabilise the set piece which was a thorn in the side of Old Elizabethans against Dings. They join inform Alfie Hill on the frontline. This also frees up Robert Lee to move onto the bench as cover for numerous positions.
Dom Horn returns into the squad to join Adam Skyner at 2nd row, and we look forward to this combination. Ned Sweeney returns from Injury to start in the back row with captain George Burnie and teammate Rhys Edwards who have been fixtures of the team since the start of the season.
Sam Hygate has received the call-up at 9 in the absence of Will Patterson. Will Appleton steps into the 10 Jersey for the first time this season, have been injured in previous weeks. The centre pairing sees Alex Potts return into the 12 jersey as availability allows, and Ben Barnett return to 13 following a head injury against Clifton.
Bothamley & Jagger retain the wing positions after impressive stints in the last couple of fixtures, and the ever impressive Dai Treharne slots in at his preferred position at full back.
Matt Carr starts on the replacements following a good performance against Dings and game time for the Thundercats, and Pat Dore is selected, and after a well-rounded performance against Coney Hill, will be looking to impress.
